Well with Charlie-Anne leaving us September for University and only been able to join us occasionally, she has decided to step down from her role on the management board for the club.

Otherwise these roles will remain as per the details in the Hull Archery Club Constitution (Available on request)What ever happens we wish Charlie-Anne all the best at University in September, and look forwards to odd weeks you can join us on a Friday. -
Plans and talks have been had regarding a proposed indoor / outdoor sports centre dedicated primarily for archery, but ultimately available for most sports. Archery GB and the National Tournaments Chairman have been contacted regarding holding competitions there on completion, and although no agreements have yet been made, the response we have had was that if further detail and a more concrete proposal was submitted then the Committee could consider it. We see this as a possitive response. We have found suitable land, however the price is very high and so we will need to rely on sponsorship, etc. This is a long road but hopefully we can come up with something.

The winner of the first Amateur January Shield was Robin Buckton with scoring 272 points with 36 arrows.

Big thanks to Neil Hudgell Solicitors for the cash donation to be spent on club equipment. Rest assured it was greatfully recieved and will be spent well.

We are trying to get our Disabled Archery club up and running. The estimated cost of this is going to be around £20,000. This is for safety equipment and modified bows etc. To raise the funds for this a couple of our members are doing a sponsored walk along the Viking way in February. This walk is 147 miles (237 km) between the Humber bridge at Barton to Oakham in Rutland. All to be completed in just five days. We’ve set up a simple webpage for it at http://www.hullarcheryclub.co.uk/viking/ with details on.. Please help us by getting your family and friends to sponsor this walk.. Thank You!

Club Fees for 2015 are due in January please. £24 payable by either cash or cheque to Hull Archery Club.. Many thanks for your continued support.

Talks have been going on at the club regarding opening the club on another day of the week, possibly as an outdoor venue. If you have any input you want to put forwards regarding this, please contact us by email at archery@hullarcheryclub.co.uk or on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/HullArchery/ or just speak to us at the club on a friday.

-
Fancy dress on Halloween was agreed on as a way of raising some funds for a new backstop net for the club.. The club prices will be the same as normal, with a voluntary donation from the members.. Here's hoping for a fun night..

Hull Archery Club and Hull Disabled Archery Club are once again trying to raise money via donations for the following years running costs, equipment and training etc etc. If you are a business or know a business and can help us raise money for the clubs then your help is appreciated.
-
We have now registered Hull Disabled Archery Club. Fees will be the same as able bodied people however Archery GB and YAA fees will be at the lower price of £20.
-
As of the 1st October 2014, Hull Archery Club will be affiliated to Archery GB, NCAS and Yorkshire Archery Association. The combined cost of this will be £45.50 per Adult.
-
Hull Archery Club has been made official. Cheques and payments are now paid to or from Hull Archery Club.
-
All people who shoot with us from any club are more than welcome to come and shoot with us on a Friday night, all we ask is that when the new year comes, you pay the membership fee (£24) with our members.
-
New members wishing to join us can register their interest on the clubs facebook page.
As the 2015/16 Archery GB year draws to a close, new payment structures etc are been put in place. This been the case, it's looking more and more likely that the club will be withdrawing its enrolment to Archery GB, opting instead for personal insurance. This will save our members around £25 per year. Membersstill wanting to remain with Archery GB etc will be allowed to do so, by paying the higher rate.
So draws the end of 2015... Hope you've all had a good year of improvement..
We are now closed for the next 2 weeks (25th December and 1st January) and will re-open on the 8th January..
Nothing dramatic has happened with the rent or anything, so next years fees will remain the same as always with the inclusion of one thing..
There will be an opt in competition where there will be badges to aim for and prizes to win. The opt in price for this will be £2 per month.. Any money not used in the competitions will go towards novelty targets for theme nights such as our Halloween shoot etc.
Also please note that come January all membership fee's will be due for the year, again these will be the same as last year so £24 for adults and £12 for children.
So here's hoping you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...
Going to have to put some rules in place for the club from today 6/12/15
Please only shoot 6 arrows in an end... People wanting to shoot more will have to be charged double
If you are consistently smashing the gold, with 4 or more arrows, please use one of the bosses with the smaller targets on and spread your arrows around them...
We have recently had to buy 3 new bosses, and there are 2 more that need replacing because they are getting pummelled in one place.
Yes, Club membership is due in January, which will put some cash back in the kitty, but our rent is also due in January, meaning that we have no money to replace them.. Once they're smashed that's it, we cant afford to replace them at the moment...
So please play fair and share the load...
