An archery round defines how many arrows are shot, the distance or distances, the target face and the scoring method. Knowing the round before you start prevents confusion halfway through a score.
Portsmouth
A Portsmouth is an indoor round of 60 arrows. Hull Archery Club also uses Portsmouth-style scoring challenges at progressive distances for its badge system.
WA18 and WA25
World Archery indoor rounds use metric distances and specified target faces. Event categories can affect which face is used.
Outdoor rounds
Outdoor target rounds may involve longer distances, different arrow totals and several distances. Always check the event prospectus and current rules.
