A scorecard is a record, not a memory test. Agree arrow values at the target, record them clearly and check arithmetic as the round progresses.
Record arrows consistently
Write arrow values in the required order for the event. Record X and misses using the notation required by the scoring system.
Check totals
Add each end carefully and maintain the running total. If electronic scoring is used alongside paper, resolve differences before leaving the target.
Corrections
Competition procedures govern how corrections are made. Do not erase or alter an official score in a way that hides the original entry.
Final check
Confirm totals, X counts and required signatures before handing in the card.
