A good setup starts with safe assembly and sensible baseline measurements. The aim is not to copy somebody else's numbers but to create a repeatable starting point that can be tuned to the archer.
Assembly order
- Fit the limbs correctly to the riser.
- String the bow with a proper bow stringer.
- Check limb alignment and string position.
- Measure brace height and tiller.
- Fit and check the arrow rest and pressure button.
- Set a starting nocking point.
- Fit sight and stabilisers if used.
Before shooting
Check limb bolts, sight screws, stabilisers, nocks and arrows. Never shoot damaged equipment. Make sure arrows are long enough for the archer's draw.
Tune after a baseline
Do not attempt fine tuning until the archer can produce a useful group. Record every setting before changing it.
