Celebrate Christmas at Hull Archery Club with a Festive Shoot
Hull Archery Club invites archers of all abilities for our annual Christmas Shoot, on Sunday, December 7th at our Hull archery venue. If the weather is poor, we will hold the event on our reserve date, Sunday, December 14th, to ensure everyone can join.
Christmas Shoot Event Details
This special shoot brings our members together for a fun and festive afternoon. The highlight is our Secret Santa Balloon Shoot, adding unique excitement to the day along with a shared club party. All are welcome to take part and celebrate the season.
Rules for the Christmas Shoot and Secret Santa Balloon Shoot
- All participants must bring a wrapped present worth up to £10 to enter the Secret Santa Balloon Shoot.
- Presents must remain anonymous with no names or labels.
- On arrival, each participant is given a number corresponding to a balloon and a wrapped gift.
- During the shoot, archers take turns shooting one arrow at a time.
- When an archer bursts a balloon, they win the present with the matching number.
- Every participant gets one chance per round to burst a balloon.
- Only those who bring a gift can take part in the balloon shoot.
- After the shoot, members are invited to share food and drink at the club party.
- Please coordinate among yourselves to bring a variety of food and drink items.
- The event will take place on Sunday, December 7th, with a reserve date of December 14th if poor weather prevents shooting.
Food, Drink, and Christmas Party
After the shoot, everyone is encouraged to join us for snacks and refreshments. We ask members to communicate in advance about what food or drink you’ll be bringing so we can offer plenty of variety. This is a perfect way for members old and new to get together and celebrate in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
